Clouds and Mountains

INTERMISSION

I'm so tired but i can't sleep.

My mind is full but i can't speak. 

Among the dust of the hard-to-reach, I'm stuck 

Right here, somewhere between side a and side b. 

I could call it compromise

Or just an intermission. 

Some kind of consolation prize 

for the race i never finished. 

I want to turn these tired gears.

I want to feel the follow-through, 

Some kind of equilibrium… 

Something to set my watch to. 

I'm here, somewhere between

Victory and a white flag. 

Caught in this purgatory dream, I’m stuck.

But I want to set the record straight,

I want to retrace my every step. 

If I could just rewind all the tapes 

Then maybe I'd find my loose thread.

The Barns Three

They had stood there many years,
  But they were young,
Young compared to the hill they hid behind.

   The quiet thunder sounds off, 

And takes a bow.

   We stood quaking in our boots.

   The sight, a sight to behold,

Told us all we needed to know, 

   But our hearts could not comprehend it.

   The lively light cut deep,

Clearing out the dark,

   Just by existing.

    Through the terrible jungle,

A storm of rebellion rains boiling rocks,

   Still, the stillness won't let me go,

And I am glad for Light.

Simply for there are no words to say.

   Standing at last here with my Love,

Looking at a eternity together.

Mint Puff Tree

A shush of air,
                "Puff...."
Tickled my nose.
A spash of water,
                "Sposh...."
Swished to my ear.
As I wondered with the winds,
Following the clouds,

          Hovering above,


The millpond.

Leaving....

To the lands where it isn't so snowy.

    (Although snow is great,)

After a month or so,

It becomes boring and stale in the house,

And we've run out of board games to play.

Our senses feel fuzzy and dull.

And we go crazy,

And leave,

Betsy

Betsy lives in a small town in BC.

She paints and writes novels in her cozy cottage on the side of a mountain.

She has a incredible view down the valley.

On clear days she can see the stars even though it's daytime.
