Day 357

Clouds and Mountains
INTERMISSION
Song by Sleeping at Last.
I'm so tired but i can't sleep.
My mind is full but i can't speak.
Among the dust of the hard-to-reach, I'm stuck
Right here, somewhere between side a and side b.

I could call it compromise
Or just an intermission.
Some kind of consolation prize
for the race i never finished.

I want to turn these tired gears.
I want to feel the follow-through,
Some kind of equilibrium…
Something to set my watch to.

I'm here, somewhere between
Victory and a white flag.
Caught in this purgatory dream, I’m stuck.
But I want to set the record straight,
I want to retrace my every step.
If I could just rewind all the tapes
Then maybe I'd find my loose thread.

Call it a compromise
Or just an intermission.
Some kind of consolation prize,
So close, but never finished.

I want to turn these tired gears.
I want to feel the follow-through,
Some kind of equilibrium…
Something to set my watch to.

Day 356

Leafy Greens
Growing,
Faintly glowing
with life.

Can it be?
This life will
change me?

If you listen,
To the damp dew
Glistening.

They hum a song
of flashing light,
Pouring forth.

The existence
of such marvels!
Astounding!

Ok see you!:S hine!

And still the sun sank....

Day 329

Yonder Bridge O' Stone
The day was odd.
For it was late in the fall, and the rain was warm.
A slow, low breeze burdened with the musty smells of leaves and dirt.
Danced lazily, dodging rain drops.
Hen'ry stood in the middle of the stream,
Stacking stones deliberately.
"SplishSplash!" the water giggled,
As she snuggled down, over the pebbles,
And thru' the meadow.

Ok see ya!: M urmuring....

Day 320

Seaside
See?
The sun glitters like a peculiar sort of jewel.
Off the ruffled surface of the ocean.
It swishes around, trying in vain to grab my toes.
I look down and grin.
And lift one foot out.
See?

Look!
The wind, really it's just a breeze.
Sails over a sand dune politely.
I say "How do you do?" quite proper.
The breeze puffles and ruffles my hair.
"Sup'?" it sneezes.
Look!

Listen!
A seagull shouts. "Ha!"
His friends amused at his conduct.
Respond loudly back. "Ha!"
Then a wave, ever the curious one.
Chases the noise-makers back up the beach.
Listen!

Did you hear it?

"Come!"
The Creator..
whispers.
"Come my love,
Come to me and you will find rest
....
I love you!
Come!"

Ok see ya!:S easide adventurer...

Day 294

Flowers
A flower once said to me,
"Friend! Say, why are you here?
I replied, most surprised,
"Eh? I did not know flowers could speak!"
"Ah...well they can" the flower bobbed it's head, "Anyways...why are you here?"
"Hmm," I hummed. "To tell you the truth, fair one....I was just passing through. I was going on a walk to the sea."
"Ah...well...that's neat! What's a sea? Or a walk?" The flower wondered."I've never seen one"
"A sea is rather like a raindrop, just a really big one."
"A raindrop? Achoo! How-...you humans are a silly bunch.." Here she seemed to go off into her own thoughts and didn't reply for awhile. But soon enough she said. "Go on. Go on,"
"Well," I continued. "Like a raindrop. A grown-up raindrop. This peticular raindrop I am going to is one of the biggest raindrops ever. We humans call it the sea."
"An interesting tale, I must-Achoo- say! I didn't know raindrops grew up! Now tell me what a-achOO!..a ah..sorry. Tell me what a walk is."
"A walk is a journey from place to place. I am mobile as a result." I walked up and down in front of the flower as an example.
"Hmm..very interesting...very interesting," she said bobbing her head, quite solemnly. Suddenly she had anouther sneezing fit.
"Bless you!" I said grinning.
"You give me allergies!" she burst out.
"Haha!"I burst out, quite disarmed by the small flower's frankness. "Who would have thunk it? That I would give a flower allergies..."
   "Aye, tis strange."
And after that we talked about many things like toads, blocks of gravel, books, jello and current events in the field were she grew. Soon me and the flower became fast friends and we got along like wires and Duracell batteries.
